Discover our cutting-edge water electrolyser test facility in action!
At the Science Center Energy Storage Technologies (EST) we proudly commissioned an industrial-scale alkaline water electrolysis stack test field in 2022 under the German H2Giga research platform
With capabilities of up to 150 kW electrical power and currents reaching 4,000 A, this facility enables groundbreaking research into:
• Performance and durability of cell stacks,
• stability of key components like electrodes and separators under real-world dynamic loads driven by fluctuating renewable energy sources,
• effects of dynamic operation on hydrogen gas purity,
• grid interaction and feedback of future electrolysis systems.
Together with our industry partners, we’re pushing the boundaries of green hydrogen technology.
