EnergyCampus Goslar
In addition to the EST, parts of the Institute for Energy Research and Physical Technologies (IEPT) and the Center for Digital Technologies (DIGIT ) are also located on the EnergyCampus Goslar.
With the jointly operated "Battery and Sensory Test Center", EST maintains intensive research cooperation with the directly neighboring branch of the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI). The objective of the joint work is to be able to meet the constantly growing challenges to mobile and stationary energy storage systems in the high-power/high-energy sector in terms of functionality, reliability and safety - even under extreme operating conditions - by developing and testing new types of safety concepts, including the sensor technology required for this.
In addition, the office of the Energy Research Centre Lower Saxony (EFZN), which sees itself as a communication platform for Lower Saxony's energy research, is located in the EST building.
The TU Clausthal is a regional cooperation partner of the Energie Ressourcen Agentur Goslar e.V. (ERA), which is also based in the EST and maintains a close exchange with the research centre.
Since 2007, the city of Goslar has been operating the "Technology and Start-up Centre Goslar (TGZG)" on the Energy Campus Goslar, which is used in particular by spin-offs from the Clausthal University of Technology and the Fraunhofer HHI.
Since 2018, the EnergyCampus has also been home to the Frankenberg Campus Daycare Center and the GoTEC conference center (Goslar Conference on the EnergyCampus) of the city of Goslar.
